Phew!
It’s FRIDAY and I have survived the first full week of school! Only 5 more weeks until half term!!.....
In the meantime, I wanted to bring you up
to speed on our future plans for Sprout’s House. A month or so ago I shared our current floor plans - catch up here.
So, here’s how we anticipate the ground
floor looking once we’ve wielded our sledgehammers.
We hope to be able to knock through the sitting room into the downstairs bathroom and little hallway making this a far bigger and more usable space. We'd also like to remove the downstairs loo so that we can open up the kitchen and have that stretching across most of the back of the house with room for table etc. The arch that leads into Sprout's current playroom will be bricked up so we can get a good run of kitchen units along that wall. Instead, there will be a doorway from the new enlarged sitting room into the office/boot room. Then the boiler room will become a downstairs loo with space for a washing machine and tumble dryer. We are toying with idea of potentially putting an exterior door in either the office or utility room, but we'll have to see how all the levels work out.
Upstairs, we are going to install second bathroom in the smallest bedroom which is currently Sprout's room. We are also looking at making this space a bit smaller in order to increase the size of the bedroom. The final piece of the jigsaw will be to build an extra storey on top of the current kitchen in order to create two additional bedrooms. And ta-dah we're done!!
Here's a little 'now and hopefully, fingers crossed in the future' action.

So that's the plan - for now - like all best laid plans no doubt it'll change as we spend more time living here.
Enjoy your weekend.
