Inspired by Hobbycraft
What you need –
A4 white corrugated card
A5 red card
A5 pattered paper – I used decoupage paper
A set of numbered pegs East of India Red Advent Pegs
A set of silver numbers Glitterations - Silver Numbers
Glue and/or sticky dots Extra Strength Sticki Dots
A piece of ribbon Silver Organza Ribbon
Time:
20 minutes max.
Turn the
corrugated card over so the flat side is face up. Use a side plate to draw a
circle on the card. Cut out. (My corrugated card was a bit flimsy so I
reinforced it with another slightly smaller circle of card stuck on the back!)
Take the patterned paper and cut a strip about 10 x 27cm. With the shortest edge in front of you, fold the paper back and forth so it becomes concertinaed like a fan.
Cut a star shape
out of the red card and apply a silver ‘25’ to it. Stick on top of the
patterned rosette – I used a sticky dot as it was more secure.
Start clipping
the pegs around the outside of the corrugated card – I found it easiest to
start by clipping at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock then fill in the gaps!
Lastly, attached
a piece of ribbon to the back and hang!
Sprout’s House
This is a really
Sprout friendly project – she drew around the plate and counted the pegs for
me.... And hopefully she will enjoy choosing a peg to remove each day! For more advent
fun visit ActivityVillage.
Happy
Advent Everyone!
