In my first Sprout’s House post, I wrote
about choosing a removal company. Well….finally we have had to take the
plunge!! Last week we booked Bishop’s Move to move us to our ‘house to be’. The
reason for the delay is that we have been waiting to exchange. First it was
going to be two weeks ago, then it was going to be on Friday and now we are
keeping everything crossed that we will exchange early this week so we can move
at the weekend. But……..as we all know when moving house you just have to go
with the flow!!! Or at least try to…..!!??
In the interests of maintaining everyone’s
sanity whilst holding down a full time job each, planning a wedding and raising
a Sprout we have decided to opt for the full packing service. A wise move, I
think!!..... We have also taken out extra insurance so that we’ll be covered
should the move date be cancelled or delayed.
So the weekend was spent removing light
fittings, cleaning out cupboards and doing a final tip run. We also wrapped and
packed the light fittings to keep them safe from little fingers before we
moved.
