4 is the magic number – well nearly! That’s
how many months we have lived in Sprout’s House. So now we’re unpacked –ish and
married – hurrah(!!!) and have recovered from a stay in hospital after Sprout
lost an argument with the kitchen step, it is time to start thinking about ALL
the work that we need to do on the house.
The first, and the biggest, project that
we want to tackle is building an extension. In principle, it is a simple case
of building out over the existing single storey extension to create two Sprout
sized bedrooms above the kitchen. Ta dah – we have a four bedroom house. If
only!!...
However, Sprout’s Daddy has been working hard
creating plans, revising them and revising them some more…..BUT we’ve come to a
bit of a standstill as we can’t decide how the exterior of the extension should look.
So I’ve been doing a bit of research and
come across Houzz.
It’s a brilliant website where you can view hundreds of photos of different houses. You can search by room, design, even by kitchen appliance or tile style.
I particularly like the Ideabook feature where you can save your favourite photos. Each photo has link to the designer so you can view their contact details should you wish to approach them directly.
